: The only medical journal being published from Goa.
The journal was started in 1936 by late Pascoal Menezes, founder of the C.M.M. Group of Companies. It was published under the name “O Clinico” and in Portuguese language.
Later, after the liberation of Goa, this journal was published in English, titled as “The Clinician”.
“The Clinician” was well circulated all over India and was a well read medical journal in yester years. The Editorial Board, Medical Advisory Board & Collaborators consisted of eminent doctors from Goa and other parts of India.
After 1990 due to modern methods of communication like the internet together with other developments, and facilities for doctors to meet and exchange ideas and share their knowledge through conferences, seminars, and workshops the print media as a communication tool became less attractive for doctors.
Unfortunately our country after so many year, still lacks the infrastructure for digital media.
Cesar Menezes, of Wallace Pharma saw the opportunity and revived the effort by Re-registering the journal with the R N I, under the new title “Today’s Clinician”.
The first issue of “Today’s Clinician” was published in Jan-2016, then in April-2016, July-2016, Oct-2016 and Jan-2017.
